Home Organization

Your home is your main base, where life happens. It should be working for you, not against you.

With the Home Organization service, I come to your home to guide you through the process of decluttering items that no longer serve you, reorganizing your space so you can move through it with ease, and setting up systems that keep things calm long after we’re done.

How we go through this process is modified to what best supports you and gives you the most calming results. We optimize the space to how you need to use it.

Clothing on a clothing rod

  • Reclaim your craft room so you can actually finish your projects.

  • Optimize your kitchen so cooking feels easy and doable.

  • Clear counters and floors so cleaning takes minutes, not hours.

  • Declutter storage spaces so you always know what you have.

  • Organize your garage and workbench to support your hobbies and make room for your car.

  • Reorganize the playroom so it’s easier for the kids to clean up after themselves.

  • Wrangle your clothes so you know what you have and keep it off the floor.

  • Set up your bedroom and bathroom as calm sanctuaries for rest and self-care.

  • Optimize your office to make work efficient and distraction-free.

  • Create living and dining areas that foster connection and community.

  • Purge through your overflowing basement and storage space.

And whatever else you need to move smoothly through your home.

Here are some of the ways we can transform your space together:

Tailored for Different Needs

Everyone’s relationship to their space is different. Whether you love your collections or feel crushed by clutter, Soft Systems meets you where you are

For Maximalists

Hello my maximialists, my friends with “too many” hobbies, and you sentimental souls. I see you, I am you. And I know just how much you love your stuff, even when it’s taking over your home.

Here’s the thing. You don’t need to be a minimalist to have a calm and functional home. You can keep your passions and still feel in control of your space.

While it is still important to get rid of things that no longer serve you, that doesn’t mean you have to be ruthless about it. Instead of focusing on getting rid of as much as possible, we can design systems to calmly store and display your hobbies and loved possessions.

For Overwhelm

Are there cabinets, drawers, or closets in your home that make you feel stressed the moment you open them? Are your counters constantly cluttered, creating visual overwhelm? Do you have items scattered everywhere simply because they don’t have a home?

Maybe life has been busy and you haven’t had the time or energy to put your house in order. Maybe no one taught you how to keep an organized home in the first place. Whatever the reason, an overflowing home is not a sign that you are flawed, it’s a sign that you’re overwhelmed and tired. And if you’re overwhelmed, having a calm and safe place to rest is one of the first important steps needed to heal.

For ADHD and Neurodivergent Minds

ADHD brains are creative, intuitive, and fast moving, and they often require a different kind of structure to thrive. Traditional organization methods tend to hide things away resulting in “out of sight, out of mind,” or require too many steps to maintain them. As a result, even the best intentions can fall apart before the system ever really starts.

In our sessions, we’ll create systems that work with your brain, not against it. That might mean using clear bins instead of opaque ones, creating intentional “dumping grounds” for when you’re in a rush, or making sure every item has a clear department so you always know where to find it.

We’ll focus on making systems that capture your natural rhythms and tendencies so that organization feels intuitive, not forced. If something doesn’t work, we’ll adjust and refine until it fits. Your system should support you, not the other way around.

For Changes in the Home

Life is full of transitions — moving into a new home, merging households, welcoming a new family member, sending a child off to college, or starting a home business. These moments can feel exciting, sad, overwhelming, or all of the above.

During times of change, systems that once worked smoothly may no longer meet your needs. My goal is to help you create space for what’s new and design systems that support your next chapter with calm and ease.

Whether you’re downsizing to make room for someone else, setting up a new home from scratch, or simply reimagining your space for changing needs, I can help you organize, simplify, and make your home flow again.

 FAQs

  • No — in fact, seeing your home as it really is helps me design systems that work for your everyday reality. There’s no judgment, just curiosity and problem-solving.

  • Nothing special! Just an open mind and a bit of time. I’ll bring basic tools and labeling supplies, and we’ll plan together what to focus on first.

  • Absolutely. Feeling anxious or embarrassed is incredibly common, and I create a judgment-free space where you can feel safe to be honest about how you feel.

  • While decluttering is helpful for creating a calm environment, I will never make you get rid of something. I help you make intentional choices, but the goal isn’t minimalism for minimalism’s sake — it’s reducing stress and making your space easier to live in.

  • It’s perfectly normal to feel emotional when decluttering and reorganizing your home. All sorts of emotions - both positive and negative - come up while retaking your space, and it’s important to let them move through you. There will be no judgement from me and everything that happens while organizing will be kept private.

  • You’ll notice relief after our very first session, but depending on the size of the project, it can take more time. Lasting change comes from small, steady adjustments. I recommend regular follow-ups to keep momentum going and tweak as needed.
